{Wedding} Christopher & Victoria

Between work, sessions, editing and my own family sometimes blogging falls down far on the to do list. You know that list that you create every week and then if you are like me, promptly misplace somewhere? Well, better late than never!

Christopher and Victoria were married on 9/21/18 at Emerald Hall in Abington, MA. Having worked together a few months prior for their engagement photos, on the day of they were old pro’s at getting the shots needed! Getting ready in a hotel can sometimes be tough depending on the window situation – however in Victoria’s case, she hit the jackpot! With big, beautiful wall to wall windows, the lighting and the Fall colors outside made for a perfect morning.

With the wedding color of a deep purple, Victoria found the perfect shoes for her day! Now, don’t ask me how she walked in them, because for those that know me, I would have broken my ankle! However, she rocked them like a champ, and boy did they look amazing with her dress – and what a dress! Take a look!

Now what would a wedding be without something special close at heart? Unfortunately Victoria’s grandparents have passed, but that does not mean they cant still be near – these rosary beads, on the bridal bouquet and on the bridesmaids (her sisters) bouquet belonged to her grandmother. What an amazing way to honor such an amazing woman!

Having decided to have a first look, Christopher and Victoria met at a local park where we were able to capture some beautiful photos prior to the ceremony, with the perfect light shining through the tree’s, there was even a bit of a glow!

With a quick ceremony following formal photos, it was a great time by all – even with a few games and a really fun to watch cake smash and a lot of dancing! I had so much fun capturing this beautiful day for these two and wish them all the love and happiness in the world!

XOXO!

{Maternity} Corey & Jenice

I am so excited to share this maternity session with you all! Corey and Chase, my amazing husband and assistant, have been friends for years – long before Chase and I ever met and began dating (and that was 14 years ago believe it or not!). Corey was in our wedding, and Chase was in his wedding – and now, I have the joy of capturing this amazing time for them!

With the mist of the waterfall gently spraying over us, the sound of the water was both calming and another great reminder that Spring was just around the corner – which meant that little Jolene would soon be joining her family earthside.

We met on a gorgeous Sunday, one of the first beautiful days we have seen so far this Spring. The Wayside Gristmill in Sudbury, MA was busy with so many visitors – and Corey only had eyes for the beautiful momma to be, which I am not surprised as Jenice was glowing!

I read a quote once that I feel is so perfect in this moment as Jenice radiates with happiness and beauty;

“When a woman is pregnant she becomes a lioness with the will of a dragon. She becomes a goddess of beauty with the colors of the rainbow. She becomes the mother of new life.” – Anthony T. Hincks

0623bLet’s not forget Corey however! While he may not be a goddess with the colors of the rainbow (sorry Corey! lol), he is certainly glowing with that pre-fatherhood look!

“When I come home, my daughter will run to the door and give me a big hug, and everything that’s happened that day just melts away.” – Hugh Jackman

I am so excited for you both – and cant not wait to meet and photograph your beautiful little girl!

Cake Smash: Julianna

Where has the time gone? It seems like only recently I was at the hospital photographing Julianna’s First 48 Moments Session and now I have just completed her First Birthday Cake Smash! If you recall, Julianna was a beautiful rainbow at the end of a storm for her parents…

Julianna Joy

Now, a year has passed and she continues to be that rainbow after the storm with her personality that just keeps growing and keeping Nora and Keith on their toes! It was so much fun seeing Julianna again, and of course her brother Colin and mom Nora!

Starting out with a tea party with her bunny rabbit, we soon moved onto balloons and then the cake smash.

However, given that this adorable little diva hates getting her hands dirty, what do you do? Give her a cooking spoon for her cake of course! Can we talk about this gorgeous cake? Almost to pretty to smash…but we got over that quickly!

5217Logo

Quickly into the session, Julianna seemed to tire of the spoon and decide that her hands would be faster, and then of course, her feet. Cause how else would you smash a cake?

While I had so much fun photographing this, I am sure Julianna had much more fun than I did! Don’t miss out of the quick family shot and shot of Colin I took at the bottom of this blog, couldn’t waste a beautiful day and not steal a few quick photos. Can’t wait to see you again little one!

Engagement: Christopher & Victoria

Christopher and Victoria’s engagement session held on 4/21/18 at Moore State Park was so much fun! While the weather was a bit chilly with some wind, the sun came out to play just in time! After weeks of dreary weather, it was so nice to have a day where there were no coats needed.

Starting out the session walking through the park, I was immediately struck by how in sync these two were, and so naturally comfortable with each other. Blending a family is not always easy, however the ease shown when walking with each other, and the ease shown when working together with each of their sons to make a new family was amazing to watch.

Wearing her mother’s engagement ring, the simplicity of their love for each other was shining through each of their eyes. With a great wedding hashtag (#BecomingMota2018), and this giant M that will be used as their guestbook – the little details being shared of their upcoming wedding sound so much fun!5057Logo

September is only a few months away, and I cant wait to get together with Christopher and Victoria again to photograph what is sure to be a beautiful and fun wedding! Looking forward to September! ❤

Tassi Wedding, 11/18/2017

What a winter it has been! The holidays have come and gone and hopefully just around the corner is beautiful Spring weather! Until then, I am playing catch up and cant wait to share this beautiful wedding that I photographed at Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, MA. On a slightly rainy night in November, I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most fun weddings that I have been to in a long time.

From the lanterns lighting the way to the Meeting House built in 1837 down the dirt path, the horse drawn wagon delivering the guests to their destination and the amazing flash mob to Time Warp from Rocky Horror – this was a wedding that will be spoken about for a long time to come!

It was clear that Kyle and Sandy had spent a great deal of time making this day something to remember not only for themselves, but for their friends and family as well. The wedding dress was beautifully designed and made and the flowers lovingly gathered, each by Sandy herself.

While the girls donned their dresses and put on their makeup in a room at the Inn, the gentleman got ready off site, waiting for Kyle and Sandy to have their chance at a first look outside in the herb garden. The pews in the Meeting House creaked each time a new guest took their seat, and the hand made wooden checker boards waited to be played in the reception hall. Each little detail added to the nostalgia created while attending this wedding at Old Sturbridge Village. With unique photo locations at every turn, Old Sturbridge Village did not disappoint!

Check out some more of my favorite photos below, and take a look at that last photo – such a great, “we did it!” moment!

Serena’s Quinceanera, August 8, 2017

The official summer months have come and gone, and Fall is now looming upon us. The kids have gone back to school and parents are watching another year begin to fly by in front of their eyes. Serena’s Quinceanera was on a beautifully sunny day, where a little girl showed the world that she was ready to become a young lady.

Surrounded by her family and friends, Serena’s day went from a beautiful entrance into the hall, to her flat shoes being changed into heels by her fathers, followed by two very sweet and emotional father – daughter dances leaving very few dry eyes in the hall.

With an Alice and Wonderland theme, the details were incredible to see. From the books, clocks, tea pots, tea cups and little bottles with a tag that said “drink me” – it was obvious the time and love that was put into planning this day. Anyone who is familiar with the tale of Alice in Wonderland felt as though they were walking into the story itself.

The beautiful cake surrounded by cake pops and smaller cakes, along with all the miniature “eat me” treats and the gorgeous hand painted mural backdrops pulled the theme together with the finishing touches one always looks to see.

Ending the evening with dancing and fun after dinner, Check out this great sequence from Serena being lifted off stage!Collage1

In the end, it was a beautiful night that I am happy to have been able to share – Congratulations Serena, thank you for sharing your day with me!

Shawn & Ashley- Pleasure Beach, CT

Wow! Where did the summer go? Seems like yesterday that I was at Pleasure Beach scouting out photo locations for Shawn and Ashley’s wedding! Shawn and I have known each other over 15 years, and when I first met Ashley back in 2005 who would have guessed this is where we would be 12 years later?

It was a beautiful night for a small ceremony on the rocks at Pleasure Beach in Waterford, CT on July 20th. The sun was setting with beautiful hues of blue, pink and purple as Shawn and Ashley said their vows with the waves crashing below them. With no witness’ other than the birds and the few stragglers left on the beach that evening, by the end of their ceremony Shawn and Ashley had the beach to themselves to enjoy and take their time for some beautiful photos.

From the subtle details of the shark cuff links, to the beautiful personally made bouquet carried by Ashley, or their wedding vows carefully written on a rolled piece of paper inside a bottle, this wedding showed all the personality and spunk that one would hope to see and so much more. The look of sheer joy on Shawn’s face as Ashley walked around the corner is one that made your own face hurt from smiling.

This wedding had so many more feelings and emotions for me than I can express given how long I have known Shawn, and I can only hope that the love and admiration that I was able to see in both Ashley and Shawn’s eyes that evening, will carry them through many many years to come.

I find a quote I once heard especially appropriate here given the 12 year journey that took Shawn and Ashley to get to where they are today… “A successful marriage takes falling in love many times, always with the same person”.

All my love to you both, thank you for giving me the joy of spending this beautiful night with you! ❤ ❤

Bell Family – Moore State Park

Boy! Where has the summer gone?! In July, I had so much fun getting together with the Bell Family again! If you remember, back in April I met up with Melissa and John at Moore State Park for their maternity session. Were they Team Pink or Team Blue? Turns out they were Team Pink! Little Olivia was born not long after the maternity session was complete, and in July I had the pleasure of meeting her!

Coming full circle, we returned to where Melissa and John’s maternity photos were taken, however this time instead of finding snow, we were met with beautiful blue skies and thousands of blooming flowers. One of my favorite things is recreating a photo, and it was so much fun to be able to do these shots!Collage1

What was originally only supposed to be a warm day with clouds, turned out to be hot and humid! Little Olivia did so well considering the drastic change in weather than predicted. It is clear how loved she is by both of her parents and she soaks up every moment of the attention!

Those squishy cheeks and beautiful eyes are sure to keep John busy as she gets older fending off the suitors!

It was such fun seeing you all again! Welcome to Princess Olivia!

Katelyn & Jenn, Warren Soccer Club

What better way to celebrate national pride month than to share this beautiful, fun wedding reception I had the pleasure of photographing on May 20th?! Katelyn and Jenn had a lovely, intimate ceremony at Colt State Park in Rhode Island followed by a reception at the Warren Soccer Club in Warren, Rhode Island. Photographing the reception, I had the pleasure of hearing fun stories, loving speeches and also witness  an outpouring of love and support for this newly growing family that warmed my heart!6691

A beach themed reception was perfect for the beginning of summer on what turned out to be a beautiful day following some very dreary weeks.  The subtle touches of seashells and blue were seen throughout the hall, with seashell covered initials for Katelyn and Jenn lit by tiny white lights and beautifully engraved glassware for the bridal party.

It is always the little touches that make a wedding memorable and unique – and this wedding was no different! Katelyn and Jenn displayed a chalkboard sign asking for notes written by the guests to open in a years time. They also displayed a canvas with their names and wedding date on it for guests to leave a little note or sign. Gone are the days of old guest books – a beautiful piece of artwork that can be displayed for years to come is so much more meaningful!

What would any fun wedding be without a little break dancing and a dollar dance?! Every time I turned around, these adorable two boys were breaking down on the dance floor! And, can we take a moment to look at that sass on Katelyn’s face?! Who wouldn’t want to dance with her?

And what about Grandma?! I am not sure who was more fun to watch and photograph, the boys break dancing, or Grandma out dancing everyone! You go Grandma!

It was such a pleasure photographing this reception, and so much fun! Wishing all the love and happiness to Katelyn and Jenn, and to the new family they are building with Kay-Lynn!8012

Love Storyboard

Rossi Sisters

Its been 6 months since I last saw the Rossi girls and their parents, and the girls are growing like weeds! I first met this beautiful family when I held #FreePhotosForPoliceFamilies, last summer as both mom and dad put their lives on the line to protect their local town – words can not express the thanks you deserve!

With four daughters, Dad sure does have his work cut out for him in the upcoming years! Out of our entire session – this outtake has easily turned into my favorite photo, showing the personality and happiness that radiates from each of the girls!

5692

Originally scheduled to meet a week prior, a thunderstorm had other ideas and our date was pushed out and location moved. While heading to the Westborough Reservoir, our locations was quickly changed again when the gorgeous fields of Cummings Veterinary School were spotted!

Filled with long grass and bright yellow dandelions, it was easy to feel as though you were running to the end of the earth without a care in the world!

And what field or animal location would be complete without the obligatory red barn? One can not pass a barn and not take photos! Look at these two beauties enjoying both the camera and the barn – their personality shines through!

Having met up with the Rossi girls this time with their mom to show support for #SpeakOutAboutInfertility – this family gives so much hope to those who need it!

Thank you for sharing your story and support! I look forward to seeing this beautiful family again in the Fall for the second annual #FreePhotosForPoliceFamilies and #FreePhotosForFirstResponders!
